Sugar cookies topped with chocolate candies that are soft in the middle with crispy edges-like the Panera Bread Candy Cookies, but better because they're made at home.
Ingredients:
2 3/4 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1 cup butter, softened
1 cup white sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 bag M&M's
Directions:
In a small bowl, mix together flour, baking soda, and baking powder.
In a separate bowl, use a mixer to cream the butter and sugars until light and fluffy.
Add the eggs and vanilla, and gradually add the dry ingredients.
Once mixed, roll dough into balls, and top with M&M’s.
Place onto cookie sheet.
Bake at 350 degrees for 7-10 minutes.
Notes:
For large cookies, similar to Panera Bread, use a large cookie scoop, or combine dough of two small cookie scoops.
Depending on cookie size, add a minimum of 9 M&Ms to the top of your cookie.
For copycat candy cookies, use M&M minis.
