Have leftover candy from Halloween? Use it to make these candy-filled cookie bars. They're a quick and fun treat that's sweet and delicious.

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups flour

  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 1 cup butter, melted

  • 1 cup brown sugar

  • 1/4 cup sugar

  • 2 eggs

  • 1 tablespoon vanilla

  • 1 1/2 cups Halloween chocolate candy, chopped (I used Reses, Snickers, and Kit Kat bars)

Directions:

  1. In a small bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder, and salt.

  2. In a separate bowl, use a mixer to mix together the butter and sugars.

  3. Add the eggs and vanilla, and gradually add the dry ingredients. Mix together until combined.

  4. Once mixed, stir in the chopped candy.

  5. Evenly pour the dough into a parchment paper-lined pan.

  6. Bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes.

  7. Allow to cool, then cut into 3"x3" square bars.

Notes:

Use a knife or food pressor to cut your candy into desired size pieces.
