Happy Valentine’s Day! To celebrate I’ve made a cocktail duo that’s perfect for the vodka and the whiskey drinker to enjoy. The first is a raspberry whiskey sour, a refreshing twist on a whiskey sour, and the second is a raspberry martini, a sweet fruity cocktail. Both are made with raspberry simple syrup making it convenient to enjoy both for 2 or 1.
Ingredients:
Raspberry Whiskey Sour
2 ounces whiskey or bourbon
1 ounce raspberry simple syrup
1 ounce lemon juice
Raspberry Martini
2 ounces berry vodka
2 ounces raspberry simple syrup
2 ounces sweetened lemon juice
Directions:
For Raspberry Whiskey Sour
In a cocktail shaker, add the whiskey, simple syrup, lemon juice, and ice.
Shake and pour into glass.
For Raspberry Whiskey Sour
In a cocktail shaker, add the vodka, simple syrup, lemon juice, and ice.
Shake and pour into ice filled glass.
Notes:
For raspberry simple syrup, combine 1 cup sugar, 1 cup water, and 1 cup raspberries in a saucepan. Allow to simmer on low heat and stir until sugar is dissolved for about 5-10 minutes. Strain liquid and allow to cool before using.
